Rates are as follows:
Copyediting (including proofreading and minor changes such as change of tense, misnamed characters, direction to the
author for any major changes necessary) - 1.2 cents per word ($.012).
Hard edit (includes recommended changes to the author for continuity, plot problems, etc.) - Basic charge above
+ $150 per book.

Janet Elaine Smith has over 40 years of editing experience. She says she "cut her editing teeth" at Bethany House when
